The 3 day weekend has me itching to get out and slam some bass in the Kayak hopefully. I've kind of worn out Eagle Mountain North End, Marine Creek, Denton Creek, & Lake Worth lately. Looking to try something new this weekend, I really like smaller bodies of water the most, creeks, rivers, ponds, etc. But i'm open to suggestions. Anybody have a new (to me) or different spot you want to share with me? Or point me in the general direction haha. I am going back to the Brazos in a couple weeks otherwise i would probably go there. Also considered doing some pond hopping. Suggestions welcome

If you want to go super skinny and some great bass fishing, you can try the Elm Fork between Ray Roberts and Lewisville. You can put in at the 428 park or at Ray Roberts Dam park.
I have always wanted to try paddling the Red River below Denison dam.

Rhoades Lake in Alvord is a lot of fun and has some big fish. It's around 18 acres and I usually have the place to myself. Wheeler Branch Reservior in Glen Rose is super clear and has Walleye and great bass fishing as well as a sunken bus you can fish. No motors on the lake is great for kayakers. The only bad thing about Wheeler branch is that they kick you out at sundown. Let me know if you want anymore locations.

I've been wanting to check out Ray Roberts anyways so that sounds like a great place to start.. Thanks for the recommendation.

Wheeler branch looks killer, definitely going there soon. And Rhoades lake sounds good, not far from where my brother lives. Gonna have to go check it out. Thanks again.
