hearing that SRA is taking over Caney point (600)acres, behind the Caney Point RV site.
also potentially taking back part of Caney Point RV's 49 acre lease.
not good for them, or the people that have leased the lots.
hearing they are planning to put in a park, cabins, marina, boat ramps, pavilion, RV spots as well as other stuff!!
excavating and destroying one of the best little spawning pockets on the lake!
when did SRA decide to become competition for the already struggling marina,motel business?
also said to be holding all the fishing tournaments from there for everything from local club the Pro level!

Lake Fork officially serves as a reservoir for Dallas and it's surrounding suburbs.... SRA don't care about the fishies when it comes down to it.

You answered your own question with part I put in bold... The SRA has been missing out on a bunch of money with all the tournaments going out of the Bucket and LFM. Now they can step in and get a piece of the pie by actually putting in a facility that is designed to host tournaments. Its a nightmare fishing a big tournament out of LFM, and none of the facilities around the lake really have the parking for a big tournament so they have to allow trailing. Now with the new catch weigh release format that is taking over the tournament world the professionals will be coming to Fork, you know the SRA wants to have a top notch facility to put on TV.. Fork is the Crown Jewel in the state, its time they get some quality facilities that rival the Pavilion or Cassels Boykin at Rayburn. I hate it for the RV park, but its about time Fork gets brought out of the 80's and into the now.

So the SRA is making a park in the middle of the lake to host large tournaments/events with onsite cabins and lodging because the lake is a reservoir for Dallas and they dont care about the fish? Yeah.. OOOKKKAAAYYYYY.

Without the SRA developing water resources and Dallas paying for a large part of it there would be no Lake Fork. I�m not sure exactly who would be making money unless it is the business surrounding the lake. I pretty sure you can�t make money by spending millions on Park infastructive and pay for it charging $5-10 launch fees.

My thoughts to a tee. "It's all about providing water but while we're at it, why don't we rake in some extra bucks?"

The audited financial statements are public. I�m not sure their mission is to make �extra bucks� after all they are non profit. It does appear they have a lot of nice jobs.
