My position will not change. And I would have never posted this to start with. I like like to keep my personal business private. I will continue to be embarrased by the piling on here. Once again we have average Joe's that know more then lawyers. We have people that judge that dont know anything about Goron or Media. I dont fish tournaments anymore. And part of the reason is the way fisherman are.
.Like I've said, Gordon's past gives me no reason to think this will not be cleared up. Make all the smart a## comments yall want. I dont judge by others opinions. I dont make accusations unless I know the true facts. But I firmly believe this matter will be taken care of. There are those of yall bashing media. And those of us defending Media and Gordon. But since I do not know the exact truth and wasnt involved in this. I will not be a part of the bashing. An once again it is the keyboard lawyers and detectives and mind readers posting most of this. Sounds a lot like bashing to me

The TD is the one at fault but if Media Bass doesn't have the funds to make this right I don't care who pays it then they don't need to be a trail.

Im fishing media next year. Never had an issue with them. Also not taking advice but all the keyboard lawyers on the forum either. Didnt realize we had so many Harvard law degree holders on here.

Can't believe I am about to wade in to this... but here we go.
I own a check cashing store in DFW. We deal with situations like this all the time. An employee does something wrong that the owner wasn't familiar with or involved with. Guess what? The law always sided with us. That business owner was responsible for the conduct of their employee and any financials implications.
If a GC hires a sub and that sub screws up and ditches on the job... Guess what? That GC is on the hook for repairing or making the situation right. When you delegate responsibility, that doesn't dismiss you from fault.

I really don't think you need to be an attorney to know you should pay debts created by someone in your businesses hierarchy. That is if you want to continue to have a business.

How would you feel or deal with this problem if you were wearing these shoes.I think the op has been more than fair but he is still getting the shaft.As stated by many Gordon & Media needs to pay this as any other business should.Then they deal with the legal issues.

Why not just ask for your entry fee back and be done with it. You dont have to fish anymore media tournaments. Just chalk it up as a lesson learned to not fish that series

He paid his entry knowing the advertised payout and fished hard all day, paying entry, gas, food. And you think his $150/$??? should be a lessen for him? I have some used up reels I'm selling as new, give me a call.
