Morizo fished his last BASS Elite event this week and walked across the stage for the last time this afternoon as he announced his retirement to all of us. He read his appreciation and thanks to all for over 7 minutes, the most words I've ever heard him say ever! At 48 he will return to Japan to home and family after "living and pursuing his dream". I will always remember his infectious smile and giggles and that iconic "Big Mama" from 2005 on Lake Guntersville. Thank you Morizo cool

Always loved this video as it showcases Morizo and "Big Mama" thumb

I agree, I know one was out there that was much better quality but couldn't locate it frown
The picture though, was from yesterday on stage that I captured.

He can spend all that Jackhammer and Showerblows money. He always seemed to be a super happy guy.

I have one of the original topwater poppers that preceded the Yellow Magic with his signature on it. You ever seen those folks at the mall that can put your name on a grain of rice? I have a small popper that is signed, "Shimizu" on the top of it. cool
