There are several ways to learn to bass fish as well as proper etiquette when on the lake. One of the best ways I know of is to join a local bass club. There are several bass clubs in almost every area that have a boater / non-boater and most are looking for new non-boaters to help fill the empty seats. A little research in your area could probably find a great club to join and fish with lots of different anglers which would give you the best seat in the house to learn how best to chase these bass. I know that most any club with a B.A.S.S. affiliation has monthly draw tournaments.
This is what Bass Clubs are for. Nobody is ever going to get rich or make a career of fishing in a bass club but they will learn a lot.
Just my thoughts as we get ready to start the new season. PS. Most bass clubs start their year over in January.

My son and I are in local Bass Club. I tried to get members of our high school club to join, not one single member showed any interest. I was kinda surprised but after overseeing our high school club fo three years now it doesn't surprise me any more. Great idea though, wish we could get more to join.
