I debated on weather to post this or not. But if it wakes up 1 person it is worth it. I was involved in a road rage incident 4 weeks ago. I was headed west on 114 close to Beltline. Traffic started slowing down due to cars entering the hwy. I was in the far right hand lane. I always try to keep a safe distance between my truck and vehicles in front of me. In my right mirror I noticed a car being very aggressive trying to get onto the hwy. All of a sudden a car cut in front of me and stopped. He did not merge into my lane. It was like he was making a right hand turn. I had to swerve about 4 feet to the right on the shoulder. As I did this I saw the aggressive driver behind me earlier driving on the shoulder. He apparently decided to just drive on the shoulfer. When I swerved right I almost hit him. The witness said he swerved to the right and almost lost control due to how fast he was going. This driver then stopped and reached over and grabbed his gun. He chased me down and shot 4 times. I tried twice to run him off the road. But it's not easy in an 18 wheeler. His car maneuvered easier. After I ran him into the grass he chased me down again and shot 3 more times. Then he sped off on the shoulder. I ended up with 2 bullet holes in my trailor and 1 in my tractor. The 1 in my tractor had a projectory of if it had continued of either hitting my head rest or hitting me in the neck or head. Thanks to the lord it stuck in the wall of my tractor. No one got any info on his vehicle. Police called a few days later and basically said they had nothing to go on but 1 slug in a pallet in the trailer. His gun of choice was a 45. The police said 3 things helped me beside the lord. Not stopping, making him shoot while I'm moving. 2nd was me running him into the grass. It caused his car to be on s rough service. 3rd is they said he was most likely right handed. Hence the reason he only hit me 3 out of 7 shots. The point of this post is this is a real serious threat to all of us on the road. The Coppell police told me straight up. He wasnt trying to hurt mr or scare me. He was trying to kill me. Please stay alert on your daily travels. You dont know what is going on in these nuts head that make them want to shoot at you.

Thanks. I'm off work for awhile due to this incident. When I got out of my truck I stepped into a hole and my knee buckled. I've had an MRI. Next stop is an Orthopedic surgeon. Still blessed.

Wow. Glad you are okay! Its only a matter of time before that driver shoots at someone who will shoot back.

Brent the cops said he would most likely do this again. It's a sad and mean world we live in.
