I live within 5 minutes of Lewisville and I was thinking about going out this evening. Just wondering how many others fish in the rain?

I tried a few weeks ago and found lots of fish schooled before the rain came in and within 20 minutes the clouds were over the lake, wind picked up, rain came down and the big schools I had located scattered resulting in a terrible fishing day. Not sure how good the fishing is when its actually raining

Outstanding Timmy! I don't mind the rain, some of the best striper days are in an October drizzle...but one speck of lightning and I'm outta there

Heavy rains cause fish to scatter. The barometric pressure generally falls like a rock during thunderstorms , and that makes them scatter. You may be able to pull a few out of the trees.

yes, if just rain, but a definite NO if thunderstorm or lightning.

2 times i went in moderate to heavy rain, no one was out there, caught over a dozen fish (cats, hybrids and sandies).
My friend didn't want to come along but when i texted him pics, he then came out.

be safe.

Went out Sunday evening on Twok. On the water at 645pm off by 830pm. Found the fish but they wouldnt touch lures. Drive back in and found about 2 doz shad 4-5 and then back out to the spot. Weight didnt even hit the ground and we where tight. Only 1 big striper of the night and a bunch of small sandies

Caught these in the rain but when you fly to Massachusetts you might as well fish! [img:center]https://www.360tuna.com/attachments/1-jpg.81860/[/img]

Fishing in the rain is my favorite. I've caught more fish in the rain than any other time.

Are you stating that fish don't respond to BP swings ? If so, then your comment makes no sense.
