Great stuff. It's remarkable to think that we're coming up on the one year anniversary of Harvey. Although it's mostly back to business as usual, there are still daily reminders of how bad Harvey hit the gulf coast. The areas around Houston where I fish for grass carp were some of the hardest hit and I'm amazed at the number of empty homes that still remain.
JT's a class act, and even though he never mentioned it in that article, he was among those who were hit hardest by Harvey. Despite losing so much, he never complained, never slowed down, and kept moving forward.
I went down to Aransas just after Thanksgiving and even though Houston was hit bad by flooding, it's clear that Corpus and the surrounding area absorbed most of Harvey's wrath. These pictures I took 3 months post Harvey from the Rockport VFW should give some context to the violence of the storm.
But the good thing is the fishery is still in amazing shape and the fish are happy and healthy as ever.
