Going out on a limb here and say this man was bitten by a pretty big Bull Shark today. The pic of the bite itself was blurred on Ch.13 news bc it was that gross I guess. The shark attack happened on the First Sandbar. The man is currently in the UTMB Hospital in G-town. Swim, wade at your own risk folks. Sharks are feeding.

For some reason, August is the worst time for sharks in the surf in Galveston. My buddy and I were fishing about 50' apart once and he saw a bull shark swim between us that was so big he went straight back to the shore and would not get back in the water that day, and this was after 5 years of fishing the surf regularly.
