I was out there Saturday and we caught 7 in 4 hours and lost 4. Lake is at least 2' low. The west ramp has started to separate at the joint just above the water line. Its still usable just don't get in a hurry. Best baits were square bill in shad pattern cranking docks and a shaky head worm in red and redbug. Water temp was 86 to 89*. Trick was shade and getting your bait as far back under the docks as you could. We started at 11:30 and quit around 3:30 Good Luck its a fun lake.

great report.... I haven't been to Winnsboro in years... can you get a 21' tandem trailer in and out on that ramp...sounds kinda questionable...?

Require a whole lot of luck...

Yes... I drove by the west ramp Sat.. Looked around some, my parents live on the lake, I'd say it's down a couple three feet. Water was way out on their dock at the house.. The lake is shallow, your hard pressed to find 20' other than on the south end.. There are some good fish on drops 6-12 foot... Drop shot, Splitshot, trick worms.

Yes just go easy. You can see the problem on the ramp because it's sticking out of the water. Fishing is hit or miss right now, typical August fishing.
