Hey guys I’m Headed to SFA in the fall and I’m looking for somewhere to keep my boat while in school. I can’t really afford to pay a big storage fee, so any help is appreciated.

There are a lot of storage units out there that are just not designed to easily back a boat into. Many are just too close together for the length of a truck and boat. When we did find one at the south end of Hwy 59 near the loop that had enough room to back the boat in it was expensive because it was a very large shed. I hope you have better luck than we did.
You might need to become friends with someone with a house with extra parking at it or a land owner that has extra room.
The good part is that you will have Lake Nacogdoches, south of town and Lake Naconiche, north of town to fish and both are close. Then you also have Pinkston, east of town and Rayburn, south east of town. Plenty of bass fishing opportunities.

I recently saw some storage units on the west end of the loop that looked like they would work well for storing a boat.

Look up lakeway country storage. Its’ on FM 225 on your way to lake nac about 1/2 way or so. Another place is over west of the west ramp on the south side of fm 225, it was a rv park that had nice storage below for boats. Both had electric, both were reasonable 50-80/mo. Good luck.
