We will have to try to catch that. I'm waiting on the movie from our home scandal. Our local bakery, Collin Street had 16 million stolen by one of their account executives. He had so much loot, he tossed thousands of dollars in expensive watches and jewelry into the shallow water of Lake Austin. He knew the Feds were on his tail and decided to ditch it on a trip to visit his daughter. He was bankrolling a restaurant she had opened in Austin. Back home in Corsicana, they bought expensive cars, filled their house with treasures, owned several other homes, you name it. Should have been a dead give away when they were living higher on the hog the the Bakery owners, the McNutts. They have been one of our towns richest family for decades. Go figure.

There have been several posts on here talking about expense reports. In years past, I have had company credit cards. Although it was a pain, you kept your receipts and filled out a monthly expense report. I have known people that have used their company credit cards for everything from alcohol to cigarettes to expensive cigars to hookers. I have seen a big trend in companies taking away those credit cards for those reasons. It sure makes it hard on the honest guy.

In early 2002 or so myself and 3 co workers got the opportunity to travel at the company expense to a technical symposium in Seattle. I had done this several times prior and knew the ropes but two of the newbies did not. So the newbies invited us to go to dinner with them at a la dee dah upscale seaford restaurant. I ordered one of the cheapest plates at $40 and the newbies were ordering $150 lobster and sample platters. I told them, hey you can only claim $35 max for a meal and that excludes any alcoholic drinks. But they didn't believe me. So a few weeks later we were in our office area and the newbies walk by my office on the way to the Managers office. They go in and close the door. Didn't matter, you could hear the hollering through the door and walls. They got royally reamed for their $150 dinners each. Pretty funny actually.

I (allegedly) am friends with a guy who (allegedly) bought cocaine and (allegedly) paid for hookers for clients at a strip club, and the law firm he worked for knew better than to ask him for an itemized receipt/ explanation of the expenses.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

Theres just no way you can keep accurate records when youre doing an extended TDY. Id routinely forget valid expenses

I know a family who owns a dry cleaners and they started getting a few complaints about higher prices...it was puzzling to the owners becaus they hadn't went up on charges in a long time, and the income / expenses hadnt changed..the complaints kept coming and finally he found out that the college girl working the counter was running separate books and was up charging the customers...she was milking a few hundred $ a day In her pocket without the company loosing a thing.
