Netflix. Pretty interesting documentary.
It makes you wonder how much greed, theft, and waste takes place.

Is it a documentary on the actual queens horses or some political insight into the US Government monster?
I don't have netflix, just Amazon Prime and FIOS On Demand. Is it only on Netflix?

I dont know if its anywhere other than Netflix. Its about some city government employee in a small town in Illinois. She stole almost 54 million over twelve years before she was caught. She spent a ton on horses.
The company I work for goes over every expense report with a fine toothed comb. This chick stole over 53 million bucks. I cant buy an extra Diet Coke without getting busted.

I liked it.
Dave, your point about expense reports at your company is a good one. My company is the same way.
Bob, this lady set it up so she was the only keeper of the citys checking accounts. She went out of town and someone who worked for her stumbled across a secret city checking account and it unraveled from there.

It makes you wonder how much greed, theft, and waste takes place. I watched it too and still find it very difficult to believe that $53 million can be stolen from that small town without anybody realizing somethings amiss Even officials from a nearby town remarked that it was baffling to them why the victim city was tens of millions in debt That the mayor was disappointed that he didnt get re-elected after the scandal tells you how out of touch the city officials were

Because of her theft your expense reports get closely scrutinized as a defense against theft. Can you honestly say you never fudged an expense?

If anything, I would leave off legitimate expenses before I would insert anything questionable. Unless I could fudge 54 million and walk away, it just ain't worth it.

Because of her theft your expense reports get closely scrutinized as a defense against theft. Can you honestly say you never fudged an expense? Her theft has nothing to do with my or Daves expense reports being scrutinized. Daves analogy was comparing how a city employee can steal tens of millions of dollars over 12 years without anyone noticing money missing (again, she wasnt caught because money was missing; she was caught because someone accidentally found her secret bank account) but private companies scrutinize expense reports to suss out minimal travel expenses, like an extra Diet Coke you bought in the airport when your flight was delayed (or something similar). That snack I had to buy during a delayed flight wasnt me trying to game the system, it was just something to tie me over during a long day of travel being made even longer. Again, just an example. The bean counters, who never travel for the company, dont care about anything other than whether the expense meets the parameters set out by the company handbook regarding travel expenses. And yes, I can honestly say Ive never fudged an expense report. Thats a death sentence and, like someone above said, Ive lost money on legitimate expenses traveling for my company rather than submit anything that some nerd in finance might think is suspicious. Its just not worth it.

Expensive fudge is my favorite
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

I've done my duty on micro-managed expense reports. Fought it hard for the first 12 years of my working career. Now, for the last 18, it has been nothing short of doing what I want and when I want to do it, and spend what is needed to satisfy the customer and myself. I'm very thankful for that and I will also be tuning in on this Netflix documentary. May find another loophole or two.....wrong! That's why I don't have to worry about it now, but I'm also not working for big corporate America. We are just a few farmers trying to grow some shrooms for folks like you.
