Headed to Houston to see family for a few days. Saturday/Sunday are off limits, but I am always looking for some pond action in Woodlands area ... or sweet salt. Anybody doing anything over that way? Newstips? Even better!

http://saltwater-recon.com/surfside-cam/The above link has real time webcams for various saltwater places around the greater Galveston area. Houston has the bayous where folks sight cast for carp. Lake in the woodlands rents kayaks. I might get out in the salt, but never really know until the morning of. This board has very few people that fly fish the Houston/Galveston area saltwater and post anything about it. Seems to be much more of an inland freshwater scene with an occasional post about a distant saltwater destination.

You are certainly correct. There's a 50% chance of rain in Galveston. I like those odds. It's the morning of - and now I know too! Thanks.
