I have a Yamaha precision blend motor that I took to the coast and had no problems with. Put the ears on and washed it out as I always do and let everything dry out only to come back and see the tip of the lower unit dripping dark oil. Not my blue oil but dark. Anyone have any experience with this before I take it to a 100 dollar an hour mechanic?

Unburnt 2 stroke oil being discharged from the exhuast is my guess. Check thy plugs for carbon build up to confirm.

Smell of it. Gasolinish smell? Unburned 2 stroke. Stinks? Gear oil, go to the mechanic.
