Hey there! I’m living in Lewisville, been working here for a few months now and would like to try a spot or two before I head home. Any tips?

You can always try the Lewisville Barge on Lake Lewisville, it'll keep you out of the heat. They've got an area for crappie and put out cat food for carp/catfish.

Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...

Check out railroad park. They stock it with channel cats, but I have walked around it and caught several decent bass and crappie too. There is a floating dock out there. I do well jigging for crappie off it and my son has caught a bunch of 12-16" cats. No big bass but I saw a guy catch a 4 pounder in march. best I have ever done is half that. But if you get the timing right you can catch several in an hour.

At the corner of Hebron and Lakepoint Dr. I have fished many nights with really good luck on catfish in this lake/pond. I have tried for the carp, but always come away with bass, cats and gar. I normally fish anywhere from the kayak launch to the old docks.

I would also recommend looking over the bank fishing map. This is what I have used to find new spots around the Lewisville area.

Use to catch bass at the triangle pond off corporate dr., but they have redone that pond. Dont know what it's like now. I know the large pond at Andrew Brown Park East has fish, they'll bite most anything but there's a big snag hazard there. I wouldn't use anything you're not willing to lose.
