Hello,

I'm looking for bait shops in the DFW area that sells perch. Does anyone know where and how much?

Thank you,
Tony

If I am targeting Flathead, Gar,or Blue Cat's I usually catch a bunch of small sunfish and keep them alive with an aerator attached to a bucket. As for bait stores that sell bait I do not know of any in the South Central Area much less the area you are living in that sell sunfish. Good luck. thumb

I have never seen a bait shop selling sunfish. I have seen minnows, salty dogs, and various other types of salt water bait fish for sell around the coastal areas. As stated above I usually catch my own live bait!

Most of the time I can get a box of worms and catch all the perch for bait I need. Find you a good
spot to fish and it's like having your own little bait shop. A lot of times I think it is faster
than using a cast net.

I don't think you can sell sunfish or other types of fish without a commercial license. I do not know the laws that well and could be wrong. I have used live sunfish for bait a lot over the years and I have always caught them myself.

Side Note: I have not seen any bait shops that sell sunfish! There maybe some that do,I just have not seen them.

Fisherman's Corner off 306 here at Canyon Lake sold them years ago. There were not cheap even back
then. I think the black salty took there place in the shops now. I personally stick with my hand caught
sunnies for bait. I try to catch the sunnies out of the same lake I will be fishing in also.
