I'm sure most of y'all have heard this tale of WOE
BOLOGNA!!!While I lived on Cypress Springs, I prayed for East winds!
Yesterday, I guess I had looked at the forecast day, thought it was supposed to be 73.....Not, it was 82
I didn't give that a second thought, I was already itching to go
You know when your first drop gets slammed, it just might be a good day
Caught 7 quality fish at my 1st stop.
After the dink fest at Tawakoni last weekend, I really needed the change of pace
Fished a couple of new spots I graphed and a couple of Oldies, but Goodies, picking up a few here & a few there
Needing 8 more to finish my limit, ran to another Good spot.
Fished it like I normally do, but only caught a few dinks
I then backed off to some deep brush right beside the "Loop" tree and the bites were elbow rattling
Just as I was about to finish my limit, got a small bite and started reeling it up, when suddenly, I got the second thump
and my rod tip dipped under the water
It was a very brief battle, then my line went slack and I reeled up a 7-8' dink with a tore up tail!
The very next drop, I got a solid
THUMPAfter a not so brief battle, I landed my "Customary Ditch Pickle"
BFOD 6.63#
I finished my limit and was back at home before noon
Fished in 17-24 fow, early was catching fish 8' deep, but had to keep going deeper as the sun got higher.
Last fish were caught 22' deep in 24fow
All fish caught on 2" Tadpoles in Monkey Business And Lime Glo-Treuse
STAY SAFE & HYDRATED P.S.
Check out this bream bed I found. There's a fish in almost every bed
