The Corps has announced that it is releasing a lot more water than usual at Lake Whitney.. running the generators at the dam due to high electric demand... that means there is current in the lake and its falling. Fish will be on the move and biting.... you can take it to the live well. Lots of sunscreen, and fluids.

Interesting. I would think the falling water would have them not biting as well.

Wow what a night they had last night. 30.76 pounds with a 10.36 kicker and 2nd place was 26 pounds. Way to go guys finding the hiding places those big bass use to avoid us. May the chop on the water be just enough for a good bite and low light brings the big girls out.

Maybe what the guy say is true about the low light etc.. but they bite when the water has a current... just the way Whitney is... been fishing there 20 years, I know how it works.

That's a damn good bag on any lake.

Only managed 1 legal fish in the boat today, lost 2 due to poor hooksets. Wasn't a bad day on the water, cloudy most of the morning with just enough breeze to cool you.
