Does anyone know if the Hotmaps south patium covers the bays in texas.I would like to buy this card for the lakes but may go down to the coast and fish the bays and laguna. If you look on the website preview on the lakes hotmaps the "blue" box for the south card encompasses the bays. Can anyone confirm this Does the satellite overlay work? Thanks

I would recommend buying the Navionics Nav+ regions card. It covers all of the lakes that the Platinum does with the Sonar Chart layer as well, but it also covers a lot more Saltwater even further out than just inland bays. The only thing that this card does not have that the Platinum does would be the aerial overlay(google Maps) that will show you satellite overlays in some of the marshes where mapping may not be available. IF the overlay is not something that you need or use, then save the $50 and go with the Nav+ regions South card.

Satellite overlay doesnt work 100% of the time either.
