Has any one really had any better success you think using these, seeing them on all the videos. But at 5 bux's a pop, 5 for 25 on website, that can get really expensive as much as we get snagged and lose rigs. Any info is appreciated on people that now use them. There is a website that sells the blanks, for .95 cents, you have to buy 20 for 19 dollars, and you paint them your self using the colors you like or and glitter spray paint. 20 for 19 dollars is a lot better. the website is "sheltfishingtacle.com" or just google spook top water blanks, easier that way..

I been running them a couple of years and they work fo sho. Demon dragons are identical to the blanks your talking about. You will catch a lot more hybrids on those rigs too. I run a Shad pattern or fluorescent green. My 53 last summer came off a green Demon Dragon on a planer board.

I just started using them a couple months ago and feel they do a better job of keeping the bait off the bottom than a pegged cigar float. I didn't like the idea of additional knots in my leader. When I complete tying my hook I pass the leader line thru the eye at the rear of the Demon Dragon, pass it thru the eye on the belly, and then pass it thru the eye at the head. This allows me to adjust the location of the Demon Dragon on the leader as well as eliminate additional knots; I have had no issues with it slipping out of place. In the future I will purchase the Spook blanks.

That's the same way I'm going to use it, the whole point of having the cigar is to sometimes move it up and down. Did see a video where a guy landed a big fish and his not pulled out.. guess he didnt tie it down better to the lure..

I have some spook blanks around here somewhere that I need to find and paint for the fat girls this winter.
