Howdy all!
I have a hyper little 7 year old that is starting to get into fishing. So far, it’s just been bank fishing for sunfish and the occasional accidental catfish. We are working on patience, but he gets very excited about it.
I’d like to keep building his interest with a guided trip for something a little different- maybe channels, crappie, etc.
Any recommendations for kid-friendly guides around Conroe, Livingston, etc.? Someone who could put us on fish and have some of the required patience to help my little one continue to develop his love of the outdoors?

Tex Bonnin or Richard Todge on Conroe. I think you can find Tex on Lake Conroe guides website and Richard has a website Thefishdude

Butch Terpe out of Stowaway Marina on Lake Conroe. Great multi-species guide and great with kids. http://www.lakeconroefishingguides.com/Butch_Terpe/butch_terpe.html

If you want to do a Get-A-Way and spend the night, fish, and catch some White Bass & Hybrids, check us out at www.gonefishin.biz . (Cabin & Trip Special)We fish Richland Chambers which is about 2 hours North of Spring/Conroe and specialize in Family and Kiddo fishing. Wherever you go when you decide on a Guide, I'd highly recommend you fish for the type fish that are easy to catch and fun to fish for. Whites, Catfish, Perch or just about anything that will give the Kiddo plenty of action and keep him involved and happy! Here's a few Pics from this past week: . Good Luck and Good Catchin'!
