Fishing continues to be GREAT on just about every water body I have been fishing. Creeks and Rivers have been GREAT all year! Been catching BIG Bluegill,Redear,Warmouth,Redbreast,Rios,Greens,Hybrids,Channel Cats, and some nice Large Mouth Bass. The dog days of summertime are here and the early morning bite seems to be the best. The bite usually last from sunup till 11am. After 11am no matter where I am fishing the bite seems to come to an end. Fish are hanging in grass beds and also at the edges of grass beds. Brush piles and overhanging tree limbs are also holding nice fish. Water bodies are in good shape but could really use the RAIN! Ultralight tackle with worms, and Fly Rods with various types of flies are the methods used. Fish have been caught in 2 to 6 feet of water during the early morning hours. Some fish have been kept for the dinner table and others were released to fight again. Fishing the early morning bite during the Dog Days of summer. It just don't get any better! fish

Thanks Vogey for the reply! cheers My buddy Steve is a manager at a big grocery chain and he loves eating fish especially fresh fish! The guy can cook up fish in many different ways. He even smokes em. He also freezes some. He uses vacuum sealed bags. As for the tarter sauce mine his home made! I think Steve's is homemade also! Love those fresh sunfish dinners! food

Thats good ice chest full.

I miss eating some of the fish so catch. My wife hate the taste of fish. I keep telling her most fresh fish doesnt have that fishy taste and smell she hates, but she wont listen. So now all I get to bring back is pictures.

Good job guys! Lots of good looking fish in that cooler. Enjoy the dinner you brought home...not sure what I enjoy more, catching them or eating them 😁

Thanks Mitt78, Leo,Yesenia, and Dale the Nailer for the replies. cheers Mitt78: Try dipping your fish in regular mustard before frying them. When frying fish I dip them in mustard first and then my fish fry mix. They turn out SUPER! food

Do you use a store bought fry mix or make your own? If you make it what is your recipe.
Thanks, JB in WTexas
