After multiples disasters on Friday both on the lake and the road we did good on Twok Saturday. We got to Lighthouse about 6 Friday morning and buddy gets out of truck and say "hey you are missing a tire back here". There is no telling when front trailer tire on passenger tire shredded. We get on the lake and load up with monster threadfins and larger gizzards. At least catching bait was easy. Fished Preston down past Island view. Fish were for the most part right at 20". Ran out of bait about 10 so we went in to McLaughlin and picked up some more gizzards. Went out and fished the flats between Washita and McLaughlin. Found some bigger fish amybe even too big. We set up a drift and I put my favorite rod in the front holder. At some point I bumped the handle and kicked it out of free spool. Not longer after we heard a loud snap and there goes my rod still in the holder. Since the fish was headed off in the opposite direction there was no time to react. Then on the way home my spare blew. Now for the Twok part. Started off chasing some surfacing sandies on the Holiday Hump. After about 1/2 hour of that nonsense I was ready for some hybrids and stripers. Set up initially in 28' and nada. Moved out to 39' and the bite was on. Almost every time I thrashed the water someone got a fish and sometimes all 3. Definitely made up for the day before.
