Do you guys have any problems with being able to use the fishfinder you want with the trolling motor GPS functions? I love my Garmin but I want to have something similar to ipilot so I would have to switch. Is this a common problem or just me?

At ICAST in the MotorGuide Booth, they introduced Garmin compatibility to the MG Xi5.

You do not need to have the motor linked if all you are looking for is the anchor feature. You can mix and match all day long with Garmin, Minn Kota or MotorGuide to have the "spot locK" Anchor feature. Now if you want to connect the Garmin to a trolling motor you will need to go with MotorGuide. If you want a Minn Kota you will need a Humminbird.
