Anybody been on wheeler lately and could share a quick report on how it's fishing right now and what might have worked for you, lil brother is wanting to get out in the morning and wheeler is almost right in between us and would be perfect meeting spot if it's worth it right now (Not stuck on wheeler just depends on the report) thanks in advance feel free to pm if you prefer

I fished it Wednesday. Caught dozen on wacky rig and dropshot. Biggest was 3.5#. Watched a guy stick a 5# first thing at the ramp. Water temp was 83. Guy working said good report for numbers but not much on size.

I fished it Friday. I had good luck on dropshot and wacky worms. I hooked 12 but only landed 6. I guess I wasn't setting the hook hard enough. Purple worms are working well.

Update; I was out there on Friday 7/6. The ditch pickles were chasing baitfish around on the deeper part of the lake near the dam. Chrome rattle-trap worked well. I managed a few on a dropshot as well. I made the mistake of giving my buddy grief for losing his rod/reel out there previously and then I lost a rod/reel. Karma...
