I have the Helix 7 and all of the sudden starting having this issue. I have not changed the settings and I have checked the transducer for damage. All is well. I tried adjusting the settings to no avail as well. Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix for it? Do I need to do an update? I haven't done that. HELP!

Looks like interference from trolling motor, on board charger, or bad ground/shield wire.
Just a guess I am by no means an expert on the subject.

Does it do this all the time even in shallow water? If not then I would try to catch those fish.

Interference that I have seen is usually straight up and down lines. I am no expert at all though. Maybe the sensitivity is set a little high. If I see that on my helixs Im getting some baits in the water now. Those diagonal lines look like a bunch of fish streaking up chasing bait. Maybe in the general equipment section one of the sonar gurus will have a better answer for you.

Give me some info about the unit's settings and water depth and how you have it hooked up.

I have it set on a 5 out of a ten. The lines are too identical to be fish. we will soon find out..

When I had interference it was on the trolling motor and replacing the transducer fixed it. The shield was broken from zip tieing it too tight. But like others said my interference lines were vertical and you could barely make out an image

Not sure which setting is a 5. Looks like bait. Lines are small and rise quickly in the bottom pic. In the top pis I dont know what color palette but your clutter looks like bait as well.

I have had three helixs and that is not normal. Could be interference but when I have had interference it usually just caused vertical lines cutting in and out. Im not sure what to tell you buddy. If nothing else is running in the boat like electric motors Im not sure.

You didn't happen to have another graph running the same frequency on your boat or another boat real close did you? I have seen that cause interference similar to the bottom pic before.
