Buddy of mine sprinkle line cracked @ pump, lake water flooded boat for three days , lots of Dawia reels , can they be saved , reels are coated with dirt since dried out , he was out of town .

Clean, and lube. shouldn't be a problem. Heck, I even had a battery charger (old school no chips and stuff, and not plugged in) go off the dock in salt water. Rinsed out all the salt and sand with fresh water. let it dry in the sun for a few days.. Used it another 6 or 7 years.

Like anything that's been submerged, leave it in water until you're immediately ready to strip, clean, and lube.
