My son landed this beauty a few days ago off Galveston. Guide estimated weight at 140 pounds, which exceeds my personal best fish by a lot.

Good deal, we hooked onto a tarpon by Sargent but was not able to land it. Impressive fish no doubt.

40 minute fight on relatively light tackle left him bruised and exhausted (the son, not the fish).

I tried a few trips to Galveston in the 80's , could never connect.
