Trying to remove the lower unit to maintain the water pump on 1995 200hp mercury XRI black max. After removing 4 bolts I cannot get it to move. Tried a block of wood and a dead blow hammer. Any suggestions other than taking a ride on Livingston in the dark

there is also a bolt going up under the cavitation plate 6 total. Nut in front and 4 in the middle. Then a bolt that holds the trim tab

Youll need deep socket and extension to get the front one. Its under the round plastic cap.
Little dab of grease on the threads will Help a lot when you put it back together.
