Looking for suggestions for end of July crappie lake

A buddy and his son want to fish for crappie the last week in July. We normally fish cedar creek, but it’s typically slower in the summer. I’ve heard other lakes are better in the summer. Looking for suggestions on lakes and guides. Thanks for the help.

hey BigWilly, The Fishing has been pretty good for us this summer. Check out my post “Crappie Madness” down On this page .these are our catches From the last week or so. Would love to have you guys out on the lake.

Bigwilly, as far as a guide I would recommend Jerry Hancock he can put you on some crappie on Lake Fork and Lavon, both are good crappie lakes especially Fork. Fork has some solid fish.
