I made a frog fly for bass and went out last week to test it. Every time it hit the water the bluegill were on it like a school of piranha. The 2/0 hook made it impossible to catch one. I went back to my bench and downsized to a size 10 hook. I went back Monday and caught (and released)well over 100. Sometimes Id catch 8 in a row. 3 in a row was common. The most effective fly I have ever made.

Conclusion: Bluegill love baby frogs!

I wanted to add a pic of the fly but Im using an IPhone.

If possible, please post a picture and recipe of it in the fly tying section...or here if you prefer. I'd like to experiment a little with that. Thanks.

Nice post. I get a personal enjoyment catching a fish on a bait that I have made. I do not tie a lot of flies but I am getting into it a little more. I also have made some small crank baits that have gotten some good results! hooked Again nice post and glad you got some fish on your flies. woot

After chatting with Apple support, the only way to convert my photos is to upload to a computer. At the moment I dont have a computer. I always thought Apple had everything covered but this seems like a big oversight on their part.
