I've kept night crawlers alive in my fridge for over 4 months before; didn't do anything, never even checked on em. (Forgot they were there to be honest) Boy were they ready to get out of that box when I finally used em lol.

If I fish in this kind of weather, I like to keep the 'crawlers in my ice chest and rebait from there. The 100+ heat can kill them in a hurry, so keep them cool at all times. This method might give your beer an off-taste, but that's just part of the game.

As long as you keep em cold they will last a long time. I keep mine in the refrigerator bottom drawer when I am not using them. When using them I keep the carton in a playmate covered with a Coleman Ice Cube. I have had a carton of worms last just over three weeks and were just as good the day I bought them when I started using them.
