Ok my Splasher is ready, but have a question. Can I run this off my batteries for 24v trolling motor or do I need a dedicated battery? Thx.

I bought a dedicated battery for mine because its on a separate trolling motor. How did you rig yours?

Dedicated battery, last thing you want is to lose power on your trolling motor from splasher, usually can run splasher for 8 hours on a group 24 battery before complete drain.

Thx for info. Will a group 24 be enough for a bait tank too or go up?

You can do the math. If your TM draws 10amp and your battery is rated 50 AH (amp hour), that means it will run for 5 hrs. Add the bait tank motor amp to that.

Yes use dedicated batt our batts. My single batt lasts about 5 hrs. You ask all the good questions smile

I'd go with as big as you can afford and fit, you can never have too much battery power. The less you discharge a battery the longer it lasts, so if you can fit a group 31 in your compartment go for that.

Agree.

I have 300 lbs of batteries in my boat eeks And at times, I'll use every bit of that juice over a fishing trip.
It's like having 4wd on your truck. You don't always need it, but when you do, you're sure glad you got it.

I went to 4 group 31 batteries 3 for the trolling motor and never have ran them down in a day, best move I made.
