We are headed out to Broken Bow tomorrow. We will be there through Thursday. I've never been on the lake. Anything to watch out for? Thanks for the help.

If you have lake map chip you will be fine
There's a little island as you come out of the marina cove and some really long shallow points but other than that, pretty open
One of our family's favorite lakes
Go up to the cliffs and jump, it's great

Mudbones advice sound. Would qualify that if run way up north, around the Gaines Bend area, take a wide berth and stay in the river channel. There is a lower unit busting stump or two when the lake starts getting around 595 range if you cut around those bends tight

Me and my family are heading up there for the first time also. Is it hard to find a good beach? Is there a specific boat ramp that is better than the rest? Our cabin is on the west side of the lake. (Sorry to hijack the post. I'll delete if need be)

The one we have used before is between the Coyote Drive Campsites and Eagle Drive campsite areas, there is a little bit of gravelly sand there. The beach is on the north side of that peninsula if you pull up the campsites on google earth.

Thanks for the advice. We are putting in at Beavers Bend Marina early in the morning. I guess we will just poke our nose out there and see what happens.
