I found a really good deal on a Helix 7 g2n and purchased it. My intentions will be to use it on the dash along with my Helix 9 g2n. Plans are to use the 9 for SI and the 7 for gps/maps and DI. Will I be able to network the two together and use one transducer for SI and DI at the same time or install the sevens transducer?

Yes, the Helix 7 CHIRP G2N in all three versions is Ethernet capable and will share all functions except mapping with all four versions of the Helix 9 CHIRP G2N.
Exactly what models of each are you considering????????????????????? At least one of them has to have the sonar technology you want to share.
Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N and G4N, 1198c SI, SOLIX 10 SI G3, Helix 8 MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 SI and G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL, RC-1

Humminbird 410090-1 Helix 9 CHIRP Mega Si GPS G2N and Humminbird HELIX 7 Chirp DI GPS G2N OK, you don't have to install the Helix 7 CHIRP DI GPS G2N transducer. Just turn SONAR OFF and get sonar data from the Helix 9 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G2N via Ethernet. That is setup in the Network menu. It takes two AS EC QDE Ethernet adapters and an Ethernet cable.
Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N and G4N, 1198c SI, SOLIX 10 SI G3, Helix 8 MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 SI and G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL, RC-1
