Hello everyone . I will be making a trip the 23rd and 24th of this month to lake Tawakoni . This will be my first time on the lake . Looking for some direction on fishing spots for catfish . I will have be taking my boat . Thanks

I have only been a few times several years ago. That said...pretty much the entire freaking lake is a honey hole for cats. If I remember correctly we would drift shad and shrimp this time of year.

There's a Mexican food place (can't recall the name) that was awesome.

Oh, and if you want some meth, you can stop in pretty much any nearby trailer.

if your looking for smaller eater cats - fish cut shad along the rock dam. May need to cork fish and get very close to the rocks.
We do this sometimes at night with lighted corks.

If you want bigger cats wait till late fall.

The Mexican place is/was Monroy's. It used to be on 276 on the West side of the 2 Mile Bridge, but has moved up to Lone Oak at the corner of 69 and Old Mill St. Food is still awesome.

Isabella's Tacos beside the bait shop on the west side of the bridge opened up earlier this year and is pretty good for a little hole in the wall place. Big portions!
