When you time it right it can be awesome. Year to year the spawn moves around a little due to how harsh the winter is. I was up there on business in early April and it was 10 deg.
The year prior I was up there on June 1 and the spawn was in full force. We sight fished. Only targeted those that appeared 4#+. I was a awesome day of fishing.
This year I am going for 3 days in August. Supposed to be deep video game fishing for isolated ones on big boulders in about 30 to 35 ft. Tougher but should still be interesting. We go with a guide Josh Douglas who is a great guide.
I wanted to cone back in early June but my schedule was just too tight.

Beautiful brownies and sounds like a most awesome trip.
Maybe a fall trip is on order?
