I've been shopping for a GoPro mount for the Kayak. I would like a taller mount for the rear of the boat. I started looking at the YakAttack stuff but noticed that those are no longer available through YakAttack. I think that they have been discontinued.

I then looked at the Ram camera mounts and Railblaza mounts. I just haven't come up with a confident selection to make the purchase. If I knew what I wanted, the wife would have gotten me one for Father's Day, but I don't even know what I should ask for.

A push in the right direction would be grand. Just like there is no perfect kayak, I am sure each one of the different mounts have strong points and weaknesses. If you suggest a mount, please say why you think it's a great mount and if you don't mind sharing, what do you see as some of the shortcomings of the product?

Thanks again for the help with spending my money.

Pretty sure you looked at the railblaza boom 600. This one is great and is a must you want to shoot from multiple angles.
Another one that I like a lot is hat mounted angle (search NDyakangler on youtube): he makes THE best mount with the best POV angle.
Third option is a chesty: easiest, no hassle, but angles are limited.

Thanks for the tip. Really liked his video on the GoPro Hat cam mount. He also talks about an external voice recorder with mic. Nice addition for the GoPro arsenal.
