Obviously we aren’t going to change any ones mind here

And again.... you’re going on with the submitting an invoice stuff.

in most cases, you have to show an executed contract or a final invoice to recieve your RCV check. So do you turn in a document with the deductible subtracted?

Just trying to understand the issue from both sides in case.

* Hail damages roof.
* Claims adjuster comes out and determines how much it will cost to replace (let's say $10,000).
* Insurance company mails me a check for $9,000 because I have a deductible of $1,000.
* I call Hail Heros and they tell me they will do all the work plus will throw in a few extra things for $9,000.
* I pay $9,000 for the work when it is completed and accepted by me.

Where is the fraud? To me, the roofer is giving a discount to get the work over some other company and is on him if he wants to take the job at the agreed upon price of $9,000. I did pay a deductible in essence because the insurance kept a thousand dollars that I could have used to buy beer and sat out on the lawn watching them roof my house while I got drunk.

What am I missing?

If you have a policy that allows that, thats great.
Most in Texas are RCV policies, Texas Homeowners Policy B.
You recieve part of the settlement up front & the rest when the job is completed.
At that point you send in an invoice or receipt to show the project is complete.
Usually the fraud occurs at this point.
The policy is a contract, signed by the homeowner.

fraud probably occurs %95 of the time, in residential storm work
