I�m new to the electronics scene. I grew up bass fishing on smaller water and never really needed one. Now I fish Tawakoni for strippers/hybrids and bought a Lowrance Elite 7 ti. I�m learning to use it properly but can�t figure out how to see it in bright light. In low light, it�s great. But when the sun is high and there are no clouds, it�s brutal. There must be an easy solution to this that I�m just not aware of, right? Or is this just one of those things everyone deals with? Thanks for your help.

I have the Simrad version (Go7XSE) of this Lowrance. It is basically the exact same thing. There is a screen brightness setting to adjust the brightness. If you haven't changed it from the factory, you can probably get it a fair amount brighter. The other thing you should check, there is a night mode that automatically dims the screen way down for night use. Make sure you don't have that enabled.

I don't know about yours, but the actual operating manual wasn't included with mine, just an abbreviated version. You'll want to read this.
