Tires are running true, doesn't seem to be any play in the hubs, but the tires have rubbed holes in the fenders on both sides. Had the boat for 6 years and this problem just started. Any thoughts?

Your springs are weakened. Its bouncing off the tires.

Torsion has given up the ghost.

Call Ranger and order new axle/axles......they were not too expensive when I did mine. Had a buddy help me and we got it done in less than an hour.

This right here. McGills in Lewisville replaced mine and was less than $200. They put in a heavier axle than what came from the factory. Dropped it off one morning and picked it up that afternoon. 972-436-7498

Look, those tires and that fender have been really close for a long time.. if the tire wants to sneak a good rub in I dont blame him...😜

They are likely torsion, not springs. Not sure what year your trailer/boat is, but Ranger has has torsion axles for quite some time. Before calling and replacing them, you may want to jack up the trailer and check the torsion bolts as they may have worked their way loose. They recommend checking them at least yearly I believe.

Make sure your tires are not too tall. You should use the tires recommended by Ranger. Some people think bigger is better. Not so...

I had this happen on my Skeeter, there was less than an inch of space between fender and tire. CAll EZ Loader and they sent me a new beam. I replaced it myself. The torsion arms were very challenging to get off, but overall it is not that hard of a job.

I bet your axle is bent. Happened to my 84 Ranger single axle. About $250 to get a new one from a good trailer guy.
