It seems the time may have come that I will need to pour my own jig heads.

Any advice that you experienced guys or gals can give a beginner? I haven't bought any equipment yet because I am not 100% sure that I will need to pour them. But, I am having trouble finding a supplier so the time is near.

Any advice is greatly appreciated (best mold, melting pot, do molds need to be warmed prior to pouring, etc...)

Chris

Barlow’s will have everything you need. You can spend as much or little as you want. I just have my lead in a small cast iron pan that I melt it in and just pour it in the mold with a small ladle. I bought the mold that will hold a screw lock and haven’t looked back. I can catch a bunch of fish on one jig because of the screw lock. You do need to heat the mold or just do three or four pours with no hooks to heat the mold up then your in business.

There are many great tackle makers on this site. I may be able to solve your problem of a reliable supplier. I have over 120 molds and can CUSTOM pour just about anything you may be looking for at VERY REASONABLE PRICES.
Take a look at my web site by clicking the link in my signature. Not all my products are listed as of yet, adding new things weekly. If there is something special you would like JUST SEND ME AN EMAIL OR P.M. (e mail address on website)
