Curious about towing my 18' Aluminum G3 (1800 lbs) with a 2014 Wrangler 2-door. The Jeep's tow rating is 2000 lbs, so just wondering if anyone has experience; good or bad?

Since no one has offered up an opinion, I'll throw mine out. You will be close to the towing limit, so you need to be cautious. Make sure to load the boat a little heavy on the hitch and take it easy. Just be careful of highway speeds, cruise control, and hills.

Thanks ChuChu, they actually let me hook up my boat and give it a try. You are correct about having to take it easy. Had plenty of power, but the front end got squirrely on the highway at speeds over 65 and on rough back roads (FM's, CR's, etc.). So, I passed on the purchase.

I tow my 19' Champion with 2014 4dr Wrangler. Took it from DFW to Toledo Bend. Going uphill was the only noticeable weakness. In and out of ramps was a breeze. All and all seemed to go well so did not purchase a truck.

That is where you need to increase the tongue weight. Move the boat a little further forward on the trailer.

I pulled a fiberglass boat all over the tourney trail in 2015 using my 2012 Wrangler.

Ozarks was scary. It had power to pull.....just stopping was bad. Mine was also lifted 4-1/2" with 37's.

Never again.

gt, are you saying at 65mph the steering got light in the loafers, like the front end was skating on ice?
