Looking at tying some perch jigs. What are the best color combos everyone has had luck with?
Also is there a rod/reel combo that will cast a 1/64 hand tied jig?

There are several anglers who make and use their own jigs. Hopefully some of them will reply. For sunfish I mainly use live worms. However when I use jigs for Crappie I usually catch some very nice Bluegill,Redbreast, and Redear. Chartreuse/Black seem for me to get the best results year around and on different water bodies. As for the combos there are many with different prices. I mainly use the Shakespeare Ugly Stick Combo for Sunfish and Crappie. I use a 1/16 Jig head and that is the lightest I use. I do not use a 1/64. Side Note: You should get some pretty good feed back. Lots of good anglers who know way more than me when it comes to jigs and combo sets post here.
IGFA World Record Rio Grande Cichlid. Lake Dunlap. John 3:16 Sinner's Prayer. God forgive me a sinner. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior !

Also is there a rod/reel combo that will cast a 1/64 hand tied jig? Black / Chartreuse and all yellow. 1/32 ounce is the lightest I have thrown with conventional gear. No problem throwing the 1/64 with my fly rod though.

Chartreuse/black soft plastics and crank baits are "SUPER"! As for the 1/64 jig I do not use that light of a bait on my ultralight. Like stated by J-Moe I have no problem throwing a 1/64 with my fly rod.

Chartreuse/Black seem to be the colors that work just about anywhere. As far as rod/reel combos go to Bass Pro or Acadamey. They have a great selection of ultralight combos.
