Wife and I would like a destination for a month this summer after 4th of July that will be comfortable, but not too cool. A good RV resort that is sociable but a good place from which to do day trips also. Will not take fishing equipment this trip. Went to Creede, Co last summer and it was nice but so cool wife had to wear a sweater.

I like Red River, NM...Taos is about 40 minutes away...and although Red River is usually in the 70's and 80's during the day, it'll get in the high 90's in Taos. Night time temps in Red River are cooler, but not cold, during the summer. Lots of cool little towns around there, although Cimarron and others are dealing with a bad forest fire right now.

Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch outside of Ruidoso is super nice. Sweater at night probably so. The horse races are a fun day trip and many more activities in that area. If you play golf you don't want to miss Rainmakers golf course just up the road from RV park.
