I have always wrapped my pumps in screen to avoid them getting things stuck in them.

Good advice. How to fix? High pressure wash?

can you access it easily? If so remove, clean and reinstall. If not then try a pressure wash or even blower. Not sure how it is wired up but might just put a switch and make it a manual.

I'm going to try the high pressure tire scrub at the car wash on the whole area. Pumps are at the very bottom of the bilge area in an FX21.

I had an old switch that shorted out and ran all the time. Might see if that is the issue.

Thanks
Hopefully flushing it out will solve the problem.
