Other than the line capacity difference (spool width), what else is different between the 200 and 400 series models?
Are the internal components the same size?
I have only fish reels with 5:1 gear ratios and slower (old Curado and Ambassador 5500C reels 20 years ago). Getting back into fishing and want to try fishing swimbaits.
Thanks

If you use braided line for greater capacity then wouldn't the Calcutta 200 be just fine for fishing large swimbaits up to 5 ounce range?

The 400 uses larger brake weights and pulls a little more drag. Good luck throwing it all day. It's a very large reel. I use one for catching ling and dolphin offshore.
