Hit the lake about 6:00am, first boat at the launch to my surprise. Wind was calm, maybe 5 MPH and water temp was about 72. (Which seemed high to me). Started fishing a short stretch of shoreline to the right as you leave the launch (820 ramp) and caught 3 or 4 keepers with a 3 pounder in the mix. Normally I wouldn't mention a 3 pounder but anyone who has been fishing Lake Worth in the last month might understand my excitement. lol

Anyway, got my bank cut off by another boat, so went to the other end of the lake two a couple coves I like... and caught 3 or 4 more keepers. by now sun was up so all of them pretty much came from DEEP under docks... I am so happy I learned to skip my baits with the best of them! It was so aggravating learning the skill, but it paid off.

All my bass came by way of a small t-rigged worm and all were released to be caught another day.

I spent the rest of the day scouting the lake for different locations to fish. I fish a tournament out there and I only have a couple spots which is preventing me from doing as well as I could. But during my travels I did manage to land this guy. I am not a crappie fisherman, so he went back in the drink, but thought he looked pretty big compared to some of the ones I have seen come out of there...

All in all, it was a good day.

My buddy fishes the spot by the ramp and has caught some nice ones to my surprise.
Torpedos and plastic white grubs under bobbers . I never catch s*** on torpedos either I was jealous..
My wife and I just purchased a boat and will be hitting lake Worth often as we are really close to it. Good luck and hope to see more big uns!
