6:30am , Light wind, kept me off main lake brush piles. Decided to check a couple spots for sand bass. No fish showing on the Lorance. By then wind had layer down . Went back to the brush piles an was able to to catch 20 Crappie on jigs. The Crappie had slowed way down, it was time to go sand bass fishing. Went back to the east end of Longridge, 20 to 25 FOW. The Cotton Cordell jigging spoon and #4 Mepps, silver was able to catch 25 sand bass. There were also a few cats and several Hybirds. Good day on CC, it's about 2:00, time to call it a day.

It seems for me , the Crappie bite is early. Also if you have a Thumper in the boat, it seems to draw the sand bass under the boat. Good Luck on CC.

We caught a couple of crappie at caney city bridge. I am new to crappie fishing so still working on figuring that out. We went to dam dropoff and drews humps and didnt see any fish. We did drop by long ridge and caught about 25. It was on the peak of the eastern part of the hump in about 21-25 foot of water. It may be the spot you were referring to in your original post.
